Laying the Foundation for Total Health
In some ways, one could compare chiropractic care to building a house - certain steps take place in a particular order for your home to stand strong and work together correctly. When building a house, if the walls were built before a solid foundation was set, your walls would be weak and (may) eventually collapse. If the roof was built before the walls were ready, it would be the same problem. These concepts can apply to your body! Chiropractic care addresses many common reasons why people experience pain and other health issues. If something is not right with your body's foundation, than that needs to be addressed before true health is achieved.
The first step in checking the foundation of your health, is your first visit! What you can expect when visiting our office:
STEP 1:
All new patients should fill out the New Patient Forms on their first visit. Please make sure to fill out everything as accurately as you can and sign all forms; anything that does not apply to you should be acknowledged with not applicable or "N/A".
STEP 2:
A one-on-one consultation with Dr. Zeigler will be done to discuss your health issues and goals, uncover the layers of past damage done and to help determine what may be the cause.
STEP 3:
A comprehensive chiropractic examination and evaluation, including any necessary orthopedic and neurological tests, will be performed to further help determine the precise cause of your problem. A short physical exam by Dr. Zeigler will involve palpation, use of the hands, to explore the alignment of your spine and other structures, as well as provide information on any stimuli that may cause pain.
STEP 4:
Dr. Zeigler will advise you if additional laboratory tests or x-rays are needed.
STEP 5:
You will be asked to schedule a special follow-up appointment called the “Doctor's Report” at which time the cause of your current condition will be discussed. After reviewing your case, Dr. Zeigler will decide if you will be accepted as a patient; she will then go through a thorough explanation of care recommendations and the action steps you need to take to obtain the results you desire.
